OC Metro Magazine featured one of Avrek Law Firm’s most significant cases. While investigating a hit-and-run car accident that resulted in the serious traumatic brain injury of a 4-year-old boy, Maryam Parman discovered that the driver only carried $15,000 in coverage on his auto insurance policy, which would not be enough to pay for the child’s medical needs.
During a visit to the scene of the accident, Parman discovered posted signs discouraging children from playing inside the complex, which is a violation of the Fair Housing Act. She contacted the condo complex’s insurance company and obtained $5 million for the child and his family. The case represents one of her firm’s most significant accomplishments.
“This shows how we think outside of the box on these catastrophic injury cases,” Parman says.
